Dosthi - Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: 19/11/2025 Welcome to Dosthi ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Dosthi platform, in our mobile application (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, logging in, or using Dosthi in any way, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility & Account Registration
1.1 Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to use Dosthi.
1.2 Account Information: When registering, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself. You must also keep your account information updated.
1.3 Single Account: One user = one account. You may not create multiple accounts, impersonate another person, or misrepresent your identity.

2. Use of the Service
2.1 Permitted Use: Dosthi is a platform to meet, chat, and build connections. You may use it only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes.
2.2 Prohibited Conduct: You agree not to use Dosthi for:
* Illegal or unethical activities
* Harassment, stalking, intimidation, or hate speech
* Spam, fraud, or any scheme to solicit money
* Impersonating others or using fake profiles
* Sharing explicit, graphic, or pornographic content
* Violating intellectual property or privacy rights of others

3. User Content
3.1 Your Content: You are responsible for all content you upload, post, or share on Dosthi ("User Content"). You grant Dosthi a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, store, display, and distribute your content purely to provide the Service.
3.2 Content Standards: You must not upload User Content that:
* Violates any law or third-party rights
* Is defamatory, obscene, or discriminatory
* Promotes violence, terrorism, or hatred
* Contains spam, viruses, or harmful code
3.3 Moderation & Removal: Dosthi reserves the right (but not the obligation) to review, refuse, or remove any User Content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.

4. Safety, Verification & Community Guidelines
4.1 Verification: We may ask you to verify your identity or photos to improve trust and safety.
4.2 Your Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, both on and off the platform. Exercise caution: do not share extremely personal or sensitive information unless you are comfortable.
4.3 Reporting: If you see someone violating the rules, harassing you, or engaging in suspicious behavior, please report them. We'll investigate and may suspend or remove accounts that breach these Terms.

5. Intellectual Property
5.1 Our Rights: Dosthi owns all rights, title, and interest in the Service, its design, software, and content (excluding your User Content). You must not copy, reproduce, or build upon our intellectual property without our prior written consent.
5.2 Your Rights: You retain ownership of your User Content, subject to the license granted under Section.3

6. Payment, Subscriptions & Refunds
6.1 Paid Features: Some features of Dosthi may require payment (e.g., premium subscriptions). These will be clearly described and priced.
6.2 Payment Methods: Payments are processed through secure, third-party payment gateways. Dosthi does not store your complete card or bank details.
6.3 Refund Policy: Refunds (if any) will depend on your subscription type and local consumer laws. We will clearly communicate refund rules at the time of purchase.

7. Termination
7.1 By You: You can delete your account anytime from the app or by contacting us.
7.2 By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms, or conduct yourself in a way that poses risk to other users or the Service.
7.3 Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends. However, your User Content may remain on Dosthi (unless you request deletion), subject to our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
8.1 "As Is" Service: Dosthi is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the Service is error-free, uninterrupted, or always safe.
8.2 No Guarantees: We do not guarantee that you will find meaningful connections or that profiles are 100% accurate or authentic.
8.3 Liability Cap: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dosthi's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid Dosthi in the past 12 months (if any).

9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Dosthi (and its officers, employees, agents) harmless from any claim, liability, loss, damage, cost, or expense (including legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another.

10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on our app or website with a new "Last Updated" date. Your continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Goa, India. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the competent courts of Panjim / Panaji.
